The VSI-Pro Max is the latest in the evolution of
the popular VSI line of POS / Cash Register
Interfaces from AVE. The VSI-Pro Max, now with
larger memory space can hold ALL the AVE
Interfaces in one unit with full remote PC or DVR
programming for selection and setups and onsite
firmware updating. New video processing circuitry allows use with new WDR cameras and
low video of commonly used UTP adapters. Built in RS-232, RS-485, Passive and the new
Opto-Isolated selection, gives complete isolation from the POS/Cash Register from the video
system. Internal 40 Mhz operation allows for combining the Networking functions of the Hydra,
Regcom, Networker or Vnetworker within one convenient unit with looping RJ45s for a seemless
solution for multiple till configuration.

The VSI-Pro is an excellent tool for
controlling inventory shrinkage and loss prevention. When interfaced
between a cash register and DVR, it overlays the register’s
transaction data onto the video picture to get the complete picture
of every transaction. It’s 24 programmable exceptions provide
on-screen alerts, making the finding of suspicious transactions fast
and simple. When used in conjunction with the AVE line of DVRs,
remote or local search can be done for any transaction, amount or
T/D.

VSI-Pro
Dual
The VSI-Pro Dual is more professional method of
installation when using two VSI-Pro for one installation with a
single power supply. This unit can have 2 PC VSI-Pro
or one VSI-Pro and one VSIB. Rear connections are the
same as the VSI-Pro and all standard cables are
compatible.

Mini RG
VSI-Pro
Mini and Mini RG maintain all The RS232 VSI-Pro features and and all
features of RG2RS. The board is designed on compact size and
cost effectiveness. This is only offered as PCB level for OEM
integration.

VSIB
The
VSIB is an additional box used only with the VSI-Pro to display
Chinnese (Big5), Korean or Thai language characters. Since a
bitmapped programmable font set, it can be configured for any
language so contact the factory for additional language
support.

VSI-Special (VSI-Radar)
The
VSI-Special is a stand alone text inserter that will insert the
speed readings of most Radar or Laser Speed guns, GPS, Card
Readers, G-Force Detectors, Alcohol Breathilyzers, scales,
coin counters and laptops into the video picture of a
standard video camera. The VSI-Special has a video in which comes
from the camera and a video output that goes to the recording or
display device.

Regcom
The
Regcom is an interface device that allows the connection of multiple
cash register terminals to a master unit for the purpose of
transaction logging. The Regcom is a “slave” device and can connect
directly to a VSI-Pro, Interface Adapter, P2RS, TCP232 or ECR card.
One master device called the “Hydra” can be connected to a maximum
of 16 slave devices.

Hydra
The Hydra is an interface device that
allows the connection of multiple cash
register terminals using the Regcom/Networker/Vnetworker slave units for the purpose of
transaction logging.The Hydra receives RS-485 data from the Regcom/Networker/ Vnetworker
networks and converts this to an RS-232 format that DVRs or the VSI-Pro can read.

Networker
The RS-485 Networker is designed to convert the
RS-232 serial port output of the VSI-Pro to
be a poll / select network. This allows the exceptions
or all the data to be collected by one computer
or DVR for up to 64 VSI-Pros.

Vnetworker
The Vnetworker connects inbetween a VSI-Pro and
the Cash Register via RS-232. The Vnetworker is similar to the
Networker and Regcom which take the RS-232 data and put it on a
common RS-485 network and send back to a DVR or PC. This network
supports up to 64 Vnetworkers. The Vnetworker is an enhanced version
of the Networker and is able to program the VSI-Pro remotely along
with gathering the transaction or exception data. The VSI-Pro must
be Ver. 13.00 or 13.24 and Release 12 or higher. Any VSI-Pro Ver.
13.00 or 13.24 can be upgraded with a uP software change for the
hardware of the VSI-Pro remains the same.

IF and
TPIF ECR Cards
Some lower cost ECR
cash registers have built in printers and very few external ports
for extracting the transaction data. In these cases the AVE line of
ECR PCBs are mounting internally to the ECR to convert the printer
data to RS-232. This RS-232 data can be connected to the VSI-Pro or
directly to the DVR.

P2RS
The P-2-RS
coverts high speed parallel data to serial data and sends the data
out through the RS-232 port to the VSI-Pro which overlays this data
onto video and exports to the DVR. Available with DB25 or Centronics
Cables in Tap or Emulate modes.

The RG2RS Radar
Gun Interface converts older model Radar Guns without RS-232 data
ports to RS-232 via connection to remote displays or internal
wiring.

DB9, DB15,
DB25 Breakerout PCBs
These breakouts
are available for both male and female DSUB connectors to break the
DSUB connection to screwed terminal connector. Just strip to
bare wires and connect to the terminal and tighten it by a mini
screwdriver

Opto232
The Opto232 is a miniature Optically Isolated RS-232 converter used to isolate POS / Cash Register grounds from the video system when using the VSI-Pro or Text Insertion DVRs. When used with the VSI-Pro the Opto232 is powered by the VSI-Pro so no external power supply is required. If data is to be sent back to the POS/Cash Register or any other device, the Opto232 is jumper selectable to be powered by the register or use a user supplied external power supply.
